When you start reading about camping, the overland lifestyle, and road trips in general, you will come across the acronym RV, or RVs, since it is most often used in the plural. In short, an RV is a recreational vehicle. The acronym comes from the English Recreational Vehicle. That is what vehicles made specifically for campers to carry their belongings and the equipment needed for camping are called. The most common ones in Brazil are the motorhome and the trailer. What makes these vehicles different is precisely their functionality. An RV usually has a bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, etc. In other words, it is a home on wheels.

Do you have another vehicle suitable for towing? This question is important because to tow a trailer, your vehicle needs at least a 2.0-liter engine or 140 hp.
Also, how much are you willing to pay? Price is a decisive factor in choosing which RV to get. That is because the price difference is quite large. While you can find trailers starting at R$15,000.00 a motorhome costs around R$500,000.00 or more
